DELAWARE COUNTY HOUSING AUTHORITY BUSINESS OPERATIONS IN RESPONSE TO THE CORONA VIRUS
Beginning Monday March 16, 2020, Delaware County Housing Authority will suspend all in person meetings with clients as a precaution for the safety of our clients and employees. If you have an appointment scheduled any time after that date, you should not report to the DCHA offices a DCHA representative will contact you about how to proceed.
Our Housing Choice Voucher and Housing Management Staff will be conducting re-certifications over the telephone, e-mail and U.S. mail.
Inspections will be conducted as scheduled. However, our Inspector will ask you whether you are or have been sick with any flu like symptoms or if you have been exposed to anyone with coronavirus symptoms. If you answer, Yes, our Inspector will not inspect your unit and the inspection will be rescheduled at a future date. You will receive a written communication regarding the rescheduled date.
DCHA will continue to handle emergency and urgent maintenance calls. Non-emergency calls will be reviewed and scheduled by the Property Manager. We have instructed our maintenance staff to knock on the door and ask if anyone in the home is sick, has had any flu like symptoms or have been exposed to anyone with coronavirus. If you answer, Yes, to these questions, our employee will not make the requested repairs at this visit but will reschedule the work for a future date. For your safety and our Maintenance Employees safety, please stay 6 feet away from the Maintenance Employee.
We will reassess the Corona Virus situation on March 31, 2020 to determine if we are able to return to our normal business operation.
Our goal to protect our employees and customers during this time. If you have any questions, please contact us. All contact information is listed on our website -DCHA1.org.
