Homeownership Option

Go From Renting  To Owning Your Home 

Under this program families may chose a house for purchase

anywhere in Delaware County.  The property will be inspected

by DCHA to make sure it meets HUD and local building codes

standard.  The home's cost, the families income and other factors

will be reviewed by DCHA.

The total payment to be made by each homebuyer, and the

amount of HUD financial Assistance to help pay it, will be

determined by a formula in accordance with HUD's

Homeownership Program (Section 8) Regulations and the

expenses of buying and maintaining the home.

 The program also consists of 6 mandatory Homeownership and

Credit Counseling Sessions provided by Delaware County

Homeownership & Credit Counseling, Inc

a component of the Delaware County Housing Authority.
