The information below will answer some frequently
asked questions about the
site based waiting list letter all public housing applicants
received in April.
1. Is this letter an offer for housing?
No. This letter is NOT AN OFFER FOR HOUSING - This is only
notification that
we are establishing all site based waiting lists and
applicants may apply
for three (3) communities plus the Housing Choice
Voucher Program.
2. What does site based waiting list mean?
You are on the waiting list and will remain on the
waiting list. You will
now be placed on the community specific waiting lists
that you choose.
3. Will I keep my original application date?
Yes you will keep your original application date.
4. Will my update month change?
No, your update month will remain the same.
5. Will my position on the waiting list change?
Yes your position number will change for each community
list that you
choose. Your position is determined by the
original date and time of your
application for all applicants who choose a specific
community.
6. Do I need to do anything other than return the enclosed
form?
If you return your selection
form you do not need to do anything else.
7. What happens if I do not return my form within the time
frame stated
in the letter?
If you do not return the selection form your application
will be withdrawn.
8. If I apply for a site based waiting list will this affect
my
position on the Housing Choice Voucher Program wait
list?
If you have applied for the Housing Choice Voucher Program your
position
will not be affected.
